Member of the research team developing a theoretical model of quantum technology law, which aims to address the challenges posed by quantum technologies in intellectual property, personal data, and cybersecurity. The model will define guidelines, principles, and standards (including ethical ones) that should govern the use of quantum technologies in these areas.
The theoretical model of quantum technology law will apply to various national and international regulations. It will provide an in-depth understanding of the impact of developing quantum technologies on existing legal provisions and identify legislative needs that may arise due to these dynamic changes. It will also indicate how different jurisdictions can cooperate to harmonise quantum technology regulations in intellectual property, personal data, and cybersecurity.
Dorota is preparing a doctoral dissertation entitled ‘Trade Secrets and Business Secrets in the Age of Quantum Technologies.’ Her supervisors are lawyer Prof. Hanna Wolska and quantum physicist Prof. Marcin Pawłowski (director of the
Quantum Cybersecurity and Communications Team at the International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies).
